• Creation of EVS Broadcast Equipment SA to develop equipment for the digital recording of pictures on hard disks

2000

• Creation of EVS Digital Cinema, the EVS business unit specialized in digital cinema and manufacturer of CineStore^® D-Cinema servers

2002

• EVS Digital Cinema supports the World Premiere of “Star Wars Episode II” during Cannes Film Festival

2004

• Creation of XDC as a pan-European service company dedicated to digital cinema

2005

• XDC selected as Digital Cinema Official Partner of Cannes Film Festival
• 42 D-Cinema installations are deployed for the roll-out of “Star Wars: Episode III”

2006

• XDC has deployed 200 installations over 9 countries
• Creation of XDC offices in France, Spain and Germany
• XDC selected as Digital Cinema Official Partner of Locarno Film Festival
• XDC selected by RealD as its European service support company
• First installations of JPEG2000 servers, as well as 3D systems (NuVision, RealD) for the roll-out of “Chicken Little”
• Integration of RoWo screen advertising systems (pre-show) in Germany with 2K D-Cinema systems

2007

• 100^th XDC installation is signed in Germany
• XDC releases its JPEG2000 CineStore^® Solo G3 and converts over 240 systems in 10 European countries
• XDC receives the Bravo Award during Venice Film Festival for its major achievement in digital cinema

2008

• Serge Plasch joins XDC, as CEO. A new management structure is implemented
• During Cannes Film Festival, XDC signs VPF deployment agreements with Warners, Paramount, Fox and Disney.
• During CinemaExpo, XDC signs VPF deployment agreements with Sony Pictures and Universal.
