With its post-production partners, XDC has the expertise to produce Digital Intermediates (DI), Digital Source Masters (DSM) and Digital Cinema Distribution Masters (DCDM). XDC can manage the digital ingest of digitally captured content, CG, IN, IP dust-busting and restoration. Colour correction, digital cinema colour-space, gamut and p7v2profile calibration, aspect ratio translation and digital cinema projection adjustments, and storage of photo-chemically and digitally acquired content are possible as well.

XDC provides a variety of secure delivery solutions precisely tailored to the rights holders' needs. We prepare the content for physical distribution based on encrypted files, with the possibility of forensic marking for copyright-theft protection.

XDC Digital Content Lab is able to synchronize several sound and subtitle versions on the master for Europe’s diverse and fragmented markets. Trailers can be added too.

After encoding and versioning, every CineDisk has to pass through a Quality Control (QC) process. The key and the corresponding time window are added before the disk is shipped to the cinema. The key is emailed separately and this allows the distributor to play the film during a specific duration on a specific server.

XDC offers filmmakers, producers and distributors bespoke end-to-end services to get content faithfully and securely to screen in conformance with to the highest available interoperable DCI Specifications. XDC’s team is well versed in finding the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions for all content requirements.

Key Management

XDC can be involved totally or partially in the key management. In case of total key management, XDC offers full follow-up from the KDM’s (Key Delivery Message) generation up to the validation of their import into the cinemas. In case of partial key management, XDC services can be used for example for the delivery of the KDM’s via its NOC (Network Operations Centre). Total key management is obviously the preferred way since only one unique technical player is proposed to the exhibitors.

Archiving

XDC is equipped of an archiving system that enables to quickly deliver to right holders one or several copies of the stored movies.

Qualification

XDC cooperates with several post-production companies in Europe and in the US. XDC has installed quality control servers at many digital labs in order to validate the content workflows with these partners.
